Whether the result of aging, injury or overuse, we offer a wide range of services to care for joints, ligaments, bones, tendons, muscles and nerves.

Joint care

Joint conditions can be treated in various ways, depending on the severity of pain and damage to surrounding cartilage. At HCA Houston Healthcare, conservative methods are often preferred and may include physical therapy and steroid injections. When these forms of treatments do not help reduce joint pain or improve mobility, joint surgery may be required. Within our specialty areas, we provide access to a variety of joint care surgeries, including:

  • Arthroscopy of the shoulder, hip and knee
  • Hip replacement
  • Knee replacement
  • Other surgeries of the hands, wrists, feet and ankles
  • Shoulder replacement

Across the greater Houston area, we perform thousands of joint replacement surgeries every year. Accounting for more than 2,400 of these surgeries, Texas Orthopedic Hospital is a leader in total and partial joint replacement surgery and is continuously recognized for providing the highest level of care in this specialty.
